Americans who saw Fox News’s Brian Kilmeade interview with President Donald Trump are outraged by the co-host of Fox & Friends’s co-host and “allowing” the president to “lie about lie about lie” spit out.
Americans have grown used to seeing President Trump lie repeatedly, and while they are still outraged by those lies on a daily basis, they expect press officials to make final corrections to the recording in real time if he does so.
Kilmeade not only let Trump spit out falsehoods with devotion in his Fox News interview that aired Sunday morning, Kilmeade actually turned the lies himself.
The outrage is so palpable that “Kilmeade” is trending on social media. It’s rare for journalists to cause more trouble than the president, but Kilmeade’s refusal to tell the public the truth seemed like a turning point even for some Republicans.
For example, in this clip, Kilmeade asks that the military budget was cut by 25% when Trump was sworn in. Much of these cuts were enforced through confiscation by Republicans, a fact Kilmeade did not reveal to viewers. Worse still, he used Trump’s repeated lie and falsely said that the military was “out of bullets” as the basis for his question. This dangerous lie has been refuted countless times, including today by retired Lieutenant General Russell L. Honore (see below in a tweet).
During an interview with Trump recorded at the Army-Navy soccer game, @kilmeade embarrassingly repeated a lie Trump has often told that the military “ran out of bullets” when he took office.

Kilmeade also let Trump get away with this lie: “The Supreme Court just said we have no position.”
That’s wrong in this case, filed by the Texas Attorney General and backed by 17 other states and 126 GOP members in Congress, the Supreme Court voted 7-2 to decide they don’t stand – but said unanimously whether they would have accepted the case they would have voted against.
Kilmeade ignored this most important fact and let Trump’s dangerous lies go on, lies that are now leading to violence on America’s streets.
