Texas GOP Congressman Turns into First to Die After Contracting COVID-19
U.S. Representative Ron Wright (R-TX), who was first elected to Congress in 2018, has died after the conclusion of COVID-19, reports The Dallas Morning News. He was 67 years old and was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2019.
Rep. Wright becomes the first seated U.S. Congressman to die after contracting the coronavirus.

Fox learned that Rep. Ron Wright (R-TX) has died.
Wright tested positive for coronavirus a few weeks ago.
Wright had also fought lung cancer last fall. Wright was 67 years old. Wright succeeded GOP TX Rep Joe Barton in 2019 after Barton retired.

Wright announced his diagnosis on January 21.
