Civil rights activist Angela Davis to talk for OSU’s digital MLK Day occasion | Native&State
Civil rights activist, educator, and writer Angela Davis will be the keynote speaker at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. of Oregon State University.
Davis’ one-hour keynote, held remotely, begins Monday at 9:30 am. This is also Martin Luther King Jr.’s day, according to a university press release. After that, Erin Rook – Diversity Coordinator at Oregon State University-Cascades – will host a discussion on how civil rights advocacy wisdom can be applied to everyday life.
OSU Cascades students will also start various volunteer projects across central Oregon on MLK Day, the press release said.
