Authorized Skilled Weighs in on Jurors Having Reached a Verdict So Rapidly in Homicide Trial
A family member of a 15-year-old girl in Columbus, Ohio says she called the police at around 4:30 p.m. local time Tuesday. A quarter of an hour later, the police were there and shot them, reports WBNS. “The family says Bryant asked the police for help because girls were fighting outside their home.”
The 15-year-old’s name was Makiah Bryant, reports The Daily Beast, citing her source as the teen’s aunt, Hazel Bryant.
But The Beast also reports another reason the police were called: “According to Bryant, Makiyah called the police because someone in her home abused her. She went on to say that the police saw a knife on the floor near Makiyah and shot the teenager four times. “
Columbus Dispatch reports that the person who called 911 “reported that a woman tried to stab her, then the caller hung up”.
“Columbus Fire medics were released to come on the scene at 4:46 pm,” police said. The wounded person was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital in critical condition, where police said she was pronounced dead at 5:21 p.m. “
“She was a good kid. She was loving, ”said Hazel Bryant in a video posted on social media (below). “She was 15 years old. She didn’t deserve to die like a dog on the street. “
