Justices Will not Take Up FMLA Retaliation, Prof Firing Instances

Law360 (Jun 1, 2021, 9:11 p.m. EDT) – The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday declined to take on two labor law cases, one from a Department of Water official who said he was fired after medical hiatus and the others by a professor who alleged she was accused of harassment as a punishment for calling for plagiarism.

The Supreme Court dismissed a request for certiorari from Pro-Se plaintiff Randy Thomas, who alleged he was fired from his job at the Petersburg Water Supply Department in Virginia while on medical leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act.
