Houston Civil Rights Atty Sanctioned For ‘Choose Buying’

Law360 (Mar 17, 2021, 8:10 p.m. EDT) – A Texas federal judge sanctioned a Houston civil rights attorney for alleged attempts by the attorney to evade his court by filing multiple, nearly identical police brutality suits and ordering the attorney to pay attorney’s fees and costs to pay opposing attorney.

US District Judge Lynn Hughes passed the sentence on attorney UA Lewis, who represents a man who claims to have been beaten by a Baytown, Texas police officer.
