The place to Reside, What to Do, and ‘Farewell Tour’ in Query

President Donald Trump cares about reviews, possibly more than almost anything. So nobody should tell him that he just lost the rating war to Joe Biden, which many viewed as poorly conceived “dueling” town halls on Thursday evening.

We should be careful the numbers aren’t final, but Deadline calls it a “solid win for Joe Biden”.

“After all of the concerns about the threat to democracy in tracking ratings, the duel between Donald Trump on NBC and Joe Biden on ABC on Thursday was a very good night for Savannah Guthrie, a very good night for the Atlanta Braves, and an excellent night for the former Vice President, ”reports Dominic Patten from Deadline.

“Biden drew a total of 12.7 million viewers to Disney’s own network, while Trump drew 10.4 million viewers between 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm [Central] Time slots on NBC, “reports Variety.” During the entire run, Biden City Hall had an average of 12.3 million viewers. In terms of fast national 18-49 demographics, Biden comfortably comes out on top with a rating of 2.6 versus Trump’s 1.7. “

In short, Biden beat Trump by about 2.3 million more viewers.

Trump actually had a far better chance of beating Biden from one standpoint: his hour-long City Hall aired on NBC, but also on two of NBC’s cable news networks – MSNBC and CNBC – and was streamed online through those channels’ platforms on Telemundo.com.

Biden’s City Hall was broadcast on ABC and streamed on ABC.com.

YouTube also carried both town halls.

“At the end of Trump’s town hall, the NBC News YouTube channel showed 153,660 viewers were watching,” Newsweek reported on Thursday evening. But the former vice president, who was on ABC News’ YouTube channel, showed 507,445 viewers at the end of Biden’s town hall.

Jonathan Karl, correspondent for the ABC News Chief at the White House, was only too happy to share the news:

SIREN! Biden Town Hall on ABC drew 2.3 million more viewers than Trump Town Hall on NBC. There’s nothing @realDonaldTrump cares more about than reviews. https://t.co/03OMGhEVLM
