Space civil rights group endorses native main candidates
HUDSON VALLEY – The regional civil rights group Nobody Leaves Mid-Hudson has approved candidates for the 2021 primary in the region.
In Dutchess County, the group is assisting Sarah Salem in re-election as Poughkeepsie Common Councilmembers, Rachel Sanders as County Court Judge and Greg Johnston as Beacon City Court Judge.
In Orange County, the group supports Genesis Ramos as district legislature in the sixth district, Anthony Grice as district clerk, and Giselle Martinez as councilor for Newburgh in Ward One.
In Ulster County, the Laura Nordstrom group supported Ward Seven on Kingston Common Council.
“Our organization believes in a state and a country in New York that works for all of us, not just the greedy few,” said chief executive Jonathan Bix. “Choosing these candidates will bring us closer to this vision of the future while increasing the voices and needs of New Yorkers on a daily basis.”
