Sheriff Chuck Jenkins Sued for Gender Discrimination, Harassment, and Civil Rights Violations

A Frederick County sheriff’s assistant filed a lawsuit against Frederick County sheriff Chuck Jenkins (R) and the Frederick County sheriff’s office.
On May 20, 2020, Sergeant Amanda J. Ensor of the Frederick County Sheriff filed a lawsuit against Jenkins and the Sheriff’s Department in the Baltimore District Court – Case Number 1: 20-cv-01266.

Jenkins accused of sexism and ridiculed the LGBTQ community
Ensor’s complaint accuses Jenkins of calling women “bimbos”. The complaint also alleges that Jenkins made vulgar comments about women and ridiculed the LGBTQ community.

Ensor’s complaint alleged that Jenkins “was openly prejudiced because of race”.

Ensor participated in a YouTube prank with the Dobre Brothers in September 2018.
The complaint alleges that an internal investigation found them guilty of “gross misconduct” which resulted in a three-week suspension without pay and a downgrading of the judiciary.

The complaint alleges that the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office violated another official’s 4th amendment rights.

Ensor’s attorney declined to comment on the lawsuit when reaching for comment.
On January 21, 2021, the department closed a racial profiling lawsuit for $ 125,000.
