Selma native publishes guide on Civil Rights foot soldier Amelia Boynton Robinson | Information
Betty Boynton, daughter-in-law of civil rights activist Amelia Boynton, said her mother-in-law had been overlooked for too long.
“There should have been a book about her a long time ago,” said Betty Boynton.
This book was written by Ronnie Barnes of Selma and is now available. The book is titled “Amelia Boynton Robinson: Matriarch of the Suffrage Movement”. Barnes said a book signing and celebration of Mrs. Boynton will be held on August 18 at the Selma Dallas Public Library.
