This Thursday, September 5, 2013, Ruby Bridges (right), who in 1960, accompanied by US marshals, integrated schools in Louisiana, is meeting with Charles Burks, one of these marshals, at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum in Indianapolis. On Friday, November 14, 2014, 54 years later, when she first climbed the steps of William Frantz Elementary School, Bridges is due to commemorate the event and unveil a statue in her form on campus.
