Report: Matt Gaetz Eyes Presidential Bid Regardless of Intercourse-Trafficking Probe — To Present Cowl For Ron DeSantis

Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz suggested on Wednesday that if Donald Trump decides not to run for president of the GOP, we should seek nomination for 2024 – despite an upcoming investigation into whether Gaetz sexually trafficked a minor and had sex with a 17-year-old -Year-olds.

“I support Donald Trump as President. I encouraged him to run right away and he gives me every clue he’ll do, ”Gaetz told the New York Post in a text message. “If Trump doesn’t run, I could safely defeat all of Joe Biden’s remains by 2024.”

Last week Gaetz ‘former “wingman” Joel Greenberg pleaded guilty and admitted to knowingly soliciting and paying a minor for sex. Many legal experts believe that Greenberg’s plea causes great problems for Gaetz.

Gaetz was not charged and has denied any wrongdoing. According to the Post, he is planning to run for president to insure another of his best friends, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Who is considered the front runner for the GOP nomination if Trump isn’t running.

A source familiar with Gaetz’s thinking told the Post: “He [DeSantis] Maybe someone else likes on the stage of debate who can torch their opponents and lay ground covers for them. “

However, Gaetz’s presence in the race could also raise questions about their relationship, such as whether DeSantis knew of the Congressman’s alleged involvement in crimes committed by Greenberg.

Ron Be Gone, a group working to oust DeSantis in 2022, posted a video last month about the governor’s friendship relationship with Gaetz, which was also the subject of a recent article by Politico.
