Quest Diagnostics Defeats Fired Employee’s Incapacity Bias Go well with

Law360 (Feb. 2, 2021, 10:06 p.m. EST) – Quest Diagnostics escaped a disability discrimination lawsuit Tuesday after a federal judge in Illinois found a former patient services representative failed to demonstrate how she discriminated or wronged as a result their post-traumatic stress disorder and other disabilities.

US District Judge John J. Tharp Jr. clarified the case of Thelma Strong against her former employer, stating in an 18-page statement that she did not claim to have been disciplined or dismissed for her disability.

Instead, Strong claimed she was fired because of her disability because of her medical leave.
