Outstanding civil rights lawyer Ben Crump, George Floyd’s brother endorse Natalie Jackson in race for Val Demings’ seat
The best-known name for the soon-to-be-vacated seat of Congresswoman Val Demings in Florida is undoubtedly the ex-prosecutor Aramis Ayala. However, one of Ayala’s challengers has just secured pretty high profile endorsement from civil rights attorney Ben Crump and Philonise Floyd, the brother of George Floyd.
In the new clip, which supports attorney Natalie Jackson, Crump and Floyd both step behind the candidate before raising their fists.
Jackson is best known for her work on the Trayvon Martin murder case in Sanford, Florida. Crump also worked with Jackson on the ultimately unsuccessful case of convicting George Zimmerman.
In addition to Ayala and Jackson, MP Randolph Bracy has campaigned for the position. While several Republicans have announced drafts for the Congressional Seat, this is not seen as being up for grabs.
