Head of Scottish Gov’t. Smacks Down Trump Fleeing to Her Nation Earlier than Inauguration

Scottish Government Leader Nicola Sturgeon makes it clear that President Donald Trump should not attempt to travel to his golf resort in their country, in violation of that nation’s coronavirus travel ban.

“Playing golf is not what I would consider an essential purpose,” Prime Minister Sturgeon told reporters when asked about the rumor that the soon-to-be former American president intends to go into exile in this country in the UK to go.

“I have no idea what Donald Trump’s travel plans are, you’ll be glad to know,” said Sturgeon, as reported by The Scottish Sun.

“I hope and expect as everyone hopes and expects – well, as everyone expects, not necessarily everyone will hope that the itinerary they will have right away is to leave the White House, but beyond that, I don’t know “she added (video below.)

“We are not currently allowing people to come to Scotland for no essential purpose, and he is like everyone else.”

On Monday, Sturgeon announced stricter measures to lock down the coronavirus, reminding everyone that entry into Scotland was already banned.

“If Trump fled to Scotland” to stay at his golf resort, a Scottish newspaper, The Herald reported, “he could be breaking coronavirus restrictions.” According to the resort’s website, Trump Turnberry will be closed until February 5th due to Tier 4 rules. “
