GOP Senator Mocked for Making Up ‘Liberal Fantasy Island’ With ‘Intercourse Blimps’ and ‘Abolish Lasagna’

US Senator Joni Ernst (IA-R) gained national fame when she first threw her hat into the ring in 2014 as a lieutenant colonel in the army who grew up on a farm that neutered pigs and promised to “cut pork” on Capitol Hill. Seven years later, she’s still deeply invested in the theater, but by Wednesday they’re almost entirely fictional.

According to the Republican Senator from Iowa, Liberals have a “fantasy island” dreaming of “sex airships,” “getting rid of lasagna,” banning anyone who isn’t gay from restaurants, and making Washington, DC the 51st state.

The latter is real, along with support for the hugely popular Green New Deal and the expansion of the US Supreme Court.

(There is no requirement to flock to “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”.)

Ernst, a 50-year-old dual-term U.S. Senator who had 22 years in the military and 3 years in the Senate, was quickly compared to QAnon lawmakers like Marjorie Taylor Greene and ridiculed for the stunt. So much so that “Joni Ernst” and “Abolish Lasagna” are currently trending on social media.
