Charlotte church amongst 25 teams recognized as hate teams by civil rights watchdog

The Southern Poverty Law Center, a civil rights enforcer, has identified 25 hate groups in the state of Michigan for its 2020 annual “Hate Map” report.

One of these groups is Christ the King Reformed Church in Charlotte, Michigan.

Church pastor Bret McAtee has slandered a wide variety of people and groups, including LGBTQ people, feminists, non-Christian immigrants whom he describes as “Christ haters”, other pastors and people who support diversity and whom he calls ” Race “denotes pimps. ”

McAtee has also mocked public health measures like vaccines and face masks. He did not respond to a request for comment.

It is not known how many people attend his church.

Other hate groups identified as active in Michigan include a Proud Boys chapter in Lansing, a neo-Nazi group, Folks Front, and three white nationalist groups: Patriot Front, The Base, and White Rabbit Radio.
