Biden Simply Reversed Trump Transgender Army Ban – Order Permits ‘All Certified People to Serve within the Army’

Immigration and legal experts weigh in on the US Supreme Court decision that President Donald Trump violated federal law. The Chief Justice ruled that Trump cannot arbitrarily end the deferred action on child arrivals, an Obama program called DACA that protects over 700,000 undocumented immigrants brought to the United States by their parents as children.

DACA is supported by 85% of Americans. Trump has tried to end the program since taking office in 2017.

The New York Times chief White House correspondent described the majority opinion written by Chief Justice John Roberts as “reprimanding Trump”.

Law Professor at the University of Texas School of Law and CNN Staff:

It’s not that Chief Justice Roberts is a progressive closet. He is not.

The fact is, the Trump administration is * really bad * at administrative law.

Suffrage expert and Mother Jones reporter Ari Berman invoked a more colorful answer:

Just like with the census, Roberts Trump basically told Admin they were full of shit

Civil Rights Attorney:

This week provides strong evidence that the Supreme Court is responding to public opinion.

MSNBC anchor Chris Hayes:

The sheer capricious sloppiness of the Trump administrator basically forced Roberts to shake hands * twice * – this one and the census case. https://t.co/j4U21UGmeL

Former DOJ Spokesperson, now MSNBC Justice & Security Analyst:

Memo to Trump supporters: This DACA decision, like the census decision, is 100% the result of a corrupt fool who is president. You would have won both cases if the Trump administrator had shown the smallest level of honesty and competence.

Economist David Rothschild:

Quick read: DACA stands because the extreme incompetence of the Trump regime in carrying out its cruelty has forced Roberts to side with the Democrats.
