Lansing-based AF Group, an insurance solutions provider, has acquired Florida-based DecisionUR, which streamlines the process of reviewing employee compensation claims. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
DecisionUR provides a cloud-based solution that uses government-mandated medical guidelines to automate initial treatment reviews and to smooth and expedite the review process.
“Ultimately, the DecisionUR acquisition will bring great benefits to our customers in the compensation market,” said Keri Kittmann, vice president of Assigned Risk Solutions, a brand of AF Group.
“The platform speeds up the claims review process and gives our team more informed and accurate decisions. The result is extremely responsive care planning for those injured in the workplace, as well as better recommendations for the right level of care to ensure workers can recover and return to work as quickly and safely as possible. “
AF Group previously used DecisionUR software through its CompWest Insurance brand in California. The acquisition enables the AF Group to align the DecisionUR platform with the company’s core systems.
AF Group subsidiaries include Accident Fund Insurance Co. of America, Accident Fund National Insurance Co., Accident Fund General Insurance Co., United Wisconsin Insurance Co., Third Coast Insurance Co. or CompWest Insurance Co .
