#AbbottFailedTexas Developments as State Electrical Authority Warns of Potential Energy Outages Once more – This Time in Warmth Wave

At least 151 Texans died over the winter when 4.5 million households and businesses went without power due to massive failures caused by poor planning, lack of regulation, and sheer greed.

Texas Republicans last week Governor Greg Abbott promised to fix the problem.

All that had to be done was to fix the Texas power grid.

Today I signed draft laws at LAW to reform ERCOT, weather it and improve the reliability of the state power grid.

On Monday, less than seven days later, ERCOT, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, asked customers to set the air conditioning to no cooler than 78 degrees and to save electricity as more power outages are expected during the week – this time at extreme heat.

In a statement, ERCOT also called on Texans not to use ovens, washing machines or dryers.

“If you don’t need something – we ask you to switch it off and, if possible, to disconnect it from the mains.”
