Professor Peddling Lie Pence Might Overturn Election and Helped Incite Assault Might Be Trump’s Impeachment Lawyer

He may have lost most of his social media access, but President Donald Trump was still able to reach out to his supporters on Tuesday morning to track down the MAGA troops.

In his first living, presumably unscripted public utterance, President Donald Trump appeared to telegraph his supporters to continue the violence MAGA supporters demonstrated when they took over the U.S. Capitol in an armed and deadly riot last week, despite claiming: “We don’t want violence. ”

Trump spoke to reporters on his way to Alamo, Texas to tour his border wall in one of his final acts as president and refused to accept responsibility for inciting the insurrection, which resulted in six deaths while insisting that he still has “tremendous support” from his followers. Many of those who attacked the Capitol expressed anger with Trump after he recorded a video denouncing the violence. He reportedly had to record this from his top aides and later said he regretted the inclusion.

“So if you read my speech and a lot of people made it and I saw it in the newspapers, in the media and on television, it was analyzed and people thought it was completely appropriate,” Trump told reporters he held instigated the riot.

He then tried to compare last Wednesday’s seditious coup attempt with the protests against Black Lives Matter caused by police killing unarmed blacks across the country.

He called the impeachment, which will be voted on and which is likely to pass by a long way this week, “a continuation of the greatest witch hunt in the history of politics”.

“This impeachment is causing tremendous anger, and you are doing it,” he said, targeting reporters who don’t “do” it – “and it really is a terrible thing that they do.”

“If Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer continue down this path, I believe it will mean tremendous threat to our county and tremendous anger. I don’t want violence. “
