Texas Lawyer Common Admits Trump Would Have Misplaced the State in 2020 if He Hadn’t Blocked Mail-In Voting

Early voting began in Georgia on Monday morning, and just like in 2018, when Republican Brian Kemp was Secretary of State responsible for administering the elections, the lines are long again.

Secretary Kemp is now Governor Kemp after winning the election against Stacey Abrams amid massive voter repression that appears to have returned today.

Atlanta Journal constitutional reporter Tyler Estep posted this 70-second video on Twitter showing a giant queue to get to a Gwinnett County polling station in Suwanee, Georgia, where the population is below 21,000. Some voters have been in line for four hours and have yet to cast their votes, he says.

The video that went viral is 70 seconds long. Assuming the car was traveling at 20 mph, the line is nearly half a mile.

The video has already been viewed over 300,000 times in well under two hours.

“I spoke to several voters who had been there since 7,” Estep also tweeted, “and I was still waiting when it was 11 o’clock. They were told that check-in was “bad”. Gwinnett [County spokesperson] said there was an ‘intermittent problem with network access … that was slowing down processing.’ “

Deputy Editor and Pentagon Correspondent at Defense News:

The temptation is to look at this and say, “It’s great to see Americans so committed to making sure they vote!” And then you realize that choosing doesn’t have to be that difficult. It’s just that hard because that’s what it was made for. https://t.co/z8OpKHBCGv

It’s good that you are so committed to the election, it’s a shame that you have to wait so long. I haven’t seen this in any other country I’ve lived in. https://t.co/bjmtdLPptJ

Nobody should have to stand in line that long to participate in our democratic process. It’s shameful. https://t.co/AfaizyVO6L

This is what #VoterSuppression looks like in #Georgia – It should NOT be that hard to #vote, but these determined Georgians have to stand in line for hours. #VoteBlue We’re with you Georgia, hold on. #Democracy doesn’t mean making #voting more difficult, but the corrupt GOP thinks that’s okay https://t.co/uHwoskaK8e

This is what voter suppression looks like.

I guess that’s why some people are against postal voting: Then you can’t do stunts like that. Unacceptable! https://t.co/QTY1phAdrr
