Mom of 11 12 months Previous Boy Fatally Shot by 9 12 months Previous at Dallas Walmart Speaks Out

Tragic details emerge from the fatal shooting of an 11-year-old boy by a 9-year-old boy on Sunday while the children and another 11-year-old friend were left in a car at a Dallas Walmart. The mother of the other 11-year-old, who is not the victim, reportedly left the three children in the car to go to the store.

His grieving mother, Keyamber Matlock, says, “The youngest brother I treasure brought it out of safety and shot my child in the head.”

Dallas Police have not released details or said whether charges will be brought against the woman who left the children in the car.

Unrelated to the case, lawyer and former prosecutor Russel Wilson says: “The mother who left the children in the car could be charged with making a gun available to a child or putting the child at risk if she did.” know there’s a gun in there. Given the scale of the tragedy, he is not sure whether charges will be brought. “

Matlock and Dazmon’s aunt, Theresa Edwards, “wants people to pray for the child who shot their loved one and that child’s family,” KDFW reports.

“Because I know they feel like everyone hates them,” Matlock said.

Edwards adds, “There is also a child who is also injured.”
