WH Press Secretary Jen Psaki Masterfully Takes the Wind Out of a Reporter, ‘Conservative Twitter’ and Trump
Less than two weeks into the new Biden administration, White House press secretary Jen Psaki deserves the reputation of a no-nonsense, no-rumor, and no-guff leader in the briefing room determined to set the tone .
On Monday, a reporter asked about President Joe Biden’s meeting with Republicans about a COVID relief bill today. He was trying to cause trouble. It didn’t go well.
“There are Democrats who see the President’s first meeting with lawmakers being with Republicans, not Democrats. Why is the White House doing this? “Asked Ed O’Keefe of CBS News.
“Are there certain Democrats you’d like to proclaim?” Offered Psaki.
“No, but it was discussed,” he replied.
“Only people who talk about it in hallways? Ok, “Psaki replied, although he politely dismissed the question he couldn’t support and sent a strong message to the press that gossip is not entertained in the conference room.

Psaki took another polite poke at critics, also noting that she was attacked last week on the right not to lie or find answers, but promising reporters that if she didn’t have an answer for them, she would “return later”.
On Monday, she kept her word, telling them, “I often find that I will be returning – I hate to disappoint conservative Twitter, but I’ll be circling back a number of things,” and continued criticism from right-wing extremists on social media invalidate.

Fox News host Sean Hannity’s website described what she said by falsely claiming that she had “confused millions”.
“White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki confused millions of Americans during her daily press conference Monday. She said she was “disappointing Conservative Twitter” by “falling back on a number of things”. ”
(There are probably not even “millions” watching the White House press conference.)
Finally, another reporter asked if the embarrassed former President Donald Trump, who was banned from Twitter, made their job and the work of the administration easier.
“It may be hard to believe. We don’t spend a lot of time here thinking about or talking about President Trump, former President Trump to be very clear, ”she replied.
“I can’t say we miss him on Twitter.”
