Meghan McCain attacks President Joe Biden with the sword of religion and the internet doesn’t have it. After presenting herself as moderate, McCain has increasingly shifted to the right, but her latest hate speech is perhaps her most extreme yet.
“I believe he has done spiritual harm to himself and this country,” McCain said of President Biden of his support for a woman’s right to choose an abortion.
McCain decided to side with the majority of Catholic bishops in the United States, who themselves violate a Vatican policy not to “arm” or politicize the most sacred rituals of the Roman Catholic Church.
“He will ultimately have to speak to his Creator when the time comes, as we all do,” she added, “and align his policies with his personal beliefs.”
78-year-old Biden is a devout and practicing Catholic who goes to church at least once a week. McCain is 36 years old. Her spouse is Ben Domenech, co-founder and editor of the far-right website The Federalist.
Many on the internet were angry with McCain, who said, “I love this Pope” only four years ago, referring to Pope Francis, adding that she had just read an article promoting the idea of the GOP following the Pope and “should live in the real world”. “
The Pope or his officials urged the US bishops not to go down the path they were taking and to try to withhold communion from Biden and other Catholic lawmakers for their support for abortion.
