‘We Did Not Ship Him There to Do the Proper Factor’: GOP County Chair Slams Republican Senator for Impeachment Vote

Dave Ball, the newly elected chairman of the Washington County, Pennsylvania GOP, slammed his state’s Republican Senator, Pat Toomey, on Monday, saying, “We didn’t send him there to do the right thing.”

Senator Toomey was one of seven Republicans who voted to convict Donald Trump during his impeachment trial on Saturday.

Ball was unanimously elected GOP district chairman just a week ago.

“The purpose of a county party is simple,” Ball told Politics PA. “Register Republicans and win elections.”

That was last week.

This week Ball has a completely different agenda.

On Monday, Ball announced to KDKA that Senator Toomey had been sent to DC to parrot GOP topics of conversation.

“We didn’t send him there to choose his conscience. We didn’t send him there to do the right thing or whatever he said, “Ball said.” We sent him there to represent us. “

Washington County’s GOP is one of four Republican parties blaming Toomey.
