Tucker Carlson Livid Congress Virtually Unanimously Voted to Make Juneteenth a Federal Vacation

White supremacy Tucker Carlson, the host of Fox News’ top show and the face of the conservative cable broadcaster, is furious that both chambers of Congress passed a bill in just 24 hours making Juniteenth a national holiday to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States States make states.

The vote in the Senate was unanimous. The House of Representatives voted a whopping 415-14, with all 14 white Republican men 50 or older.

On Wednesday night, Carlson used a section attacking the Democratic Mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot – who happens to be the first openly lesbian African American woman to be elected mayor of a major city in the United States – as “America’s Worst Mayor.”

“What she thinks is radical social change and this week she got some support from the United States Congress,” Carlson scared of the mostly older, mostly white viewers of Fox News.

“Starting this Saturday, our country will have a new Independence Day,” he continued, probably angering his audience, something he does five evenings a week. He told them that “it will replace the old one that people like Lori Lightfoot complained of as ‘racist’,” Carlson lied with a sneer.

The official title of the new holiday will be National Independence Day in June, but it does not “replace” or replace – a word Carlson likes to use racially – July 4th, American Independence Day.

Carlson has proven himself to be such an extreme right-wing extremist that he’s actually angry that “not a single member of any party in the Senate has defied the law”.

What does it mean if 50 Republicans in the Senate support something Tucker Carlson doesn’t?

Carlson even ridiculed Texas Republican John Cornyn as “an allegedly Conservative Senator” for helping to fund the law.

He further complained that “Lori Lightfoot understands the power of symbols. They are immensely important, that’s why we have them. “

President Biden is expected to sign the law on or before Saturday.
