Trump Blames ‘Horrible’ Stacey Abrams and ‘Dishonesty’ in Atlanta for Georgia Loss in Bombshell Name
President Donald Trump called Attorney General Brad Raffensperger berating him for his loss of Georgia and asking him to “find” 11,000 more votes for him in what some legal experts have called a criminal offense. So far, however, it is less known that Trump also called the chief investigator of the Georgian Foreign Minister’s office to dismiss the election results. In that appeal, he blamed Stacey Abrams and the “dishonest” Fulton County, which is home to Atlanta, for the loss – which he also insists it wasn’t real – and said he won the state by “hundreds of thousands” of votes .
The Wall Street Journal reported on the call Wednesday night and released the audio.
“Something bad happened,” Trump told investigator Frances Watson. “If the answer comes out correctly, you will be commended.”
Watson was not intimidated.
“I can assure you that our team and the [Georgia Bureau of Investigation]that we are only interested in the truth and find the information based on the facts. “
In the tapping of the call, which has never been released, Trump and Watson repeatedly urge him to help.
“This country is counting on it,” says Trump, meaning that he will win Georgia.
“You have the most important job in the country,” he also tells her.
Trump also falsely claims that he won other states like Texas by the biggest margin of all time: “We won Texas by a record, Texas won by the biggest and biggest number ever,” which is wrong.
(George W. Bush won Texas along with Mitt Romney, John McCain, Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon Texas by more votes than Trump in both 2020 and 2016. In fact, Trump won Texas in 2016 by more votes than he did in 2020.)
“I won Georgia a lot,” Trump tells Watson, “and people know it, and something happened. Something bad happened. “
“The people of Georgia are so angry about what happened,” he says, apparently Biden was declared the winner. “You know I won, won by hundreds of thousands of votes.”
“I hope you go back two years instead of just checking against each other, because that would just be a kind of signature check that means nothing else than going back two years. And when you go to Fulton[County]you will find things that will be amazing. The dishonesty we’ve heard about … good sources, really good sources, but Fulton, Fulton is the mother you know, as the phrase goes, Fulton County. “[County}you’regoingtofindthingsthataregoingtobeunbelievableThedishonestythatwe’veheardfrom…goodsourcesreallygoodsourcesbutFultonFultonisthemotherlodeyouknowastheexpressiongoesFultonCounty”[County}you’regoingtofindthingsthataregoingtobeunbelievableThedishonestythatwe’veheardfrom…goodsourcesreallygoodsourcesbutFultonFultonisthemotherlodeyouknowastheexpressiongoesFultonCounty”
At some point, Watson seems to be trying to get Trump off the phone, but he keeps talking. She says she knows how busy he is and is “shocked that you would take the time” to call her.
“You know, they dropped the ballots, they dropped all those ballots. Stacey Abrams, really, really awful. I mean just one terrible thing. And I’ll say that. If it did, I mean, hopefully this will show because if you go back two or four years you’ll see that it’s a completely different signature, however. But hopefully you know I will. When, if the correct answer comes out, you will be praised. I don’t know why they made it so difficult. You will be praised, people will say “Great” because that is what this skill is about, to check and get it right. “
The Journal adds that “Fulton District Attorney Fani Willis has opened a criminal investigation into alleged efforts to induce Georgia officials to overturn the November presidential election results. In a letter to officials in February, Ms. Willis said a grand jury will meet this month. “
