>> WELCOME TO THE NEW HAMPSHE’IRS STORE, I’M FRED KOCHER. NEW HAMPSHIRE LEGISLATION HAS MADE DECISIONS THAT AFFECT MOST NEW HAMHIPSRE COMPANIES AND EMPLOYEES IN ONE WAY OR OTHER. WITH ME TO GO TO SOME OF THE BIG DECISIONS, THE SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF CITIESND A NEW HAMPSHIRE INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION, WELCOME DAVID. >> THANK YOU, FRED. BEFORE WE GO TO THE TAX LIST, IF YOU DESCRIBE THIS IN A FEW WORDS, BECAUSE IT HAS CHARACTER, WHICH WOULD BE SOME OF THESE WORDS? >> IT HAS A HEAVY CHARACTER AND A LOT OF COVID-19 TREATMENT LEGISLATION PROVIDED IN THE LAST SESSION, THIS YEAR YOU COULD GET BETTER PNLA FOR IT AND THINGS WERE SMOOTH, IN GENERAL I WOULD PERPLEX THE WORD EUSS. THERE WERE SOME GOOD THINGS THHA BIA WANT TO HAPPEN BUT SOME THINGS THAT DON’T HAPPEN THAT WE ARE NOT SO HAPPY. >> LET’S GO TO THE TAX LIST. REDUCTION, REDUCTN, IO REDUCTION FOR THE FIRST THREE. BUSINESS PRODUCTS AND CORPORATE TAX REDUCTION THAT GOES BEYOND THE PHASEOUT. TH’SAT IN ADDITION TO WHAT HAS BEEN DONE IN THE LAST YEARS? >> THAT IS CORRECT, THE NEW DISCOUNTS AND THE TAX 7.6% AS WELL AS THE CORPORATE TAX ARE REDUCED TO TN 0.56%. AND IT CAN BE NOTED. THESE ARE THE LOWEST BUSINESS TAX RATES IN MORE THAN 20 YEARS, AND SO LEGISLATIVE HAS REALLY HELPED THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY IN THIS GUARD. >> AND THEN THE TAX DEDUCTION, WHAT LEADED TO IT? >> I THINK THE GOVERNOR WAS INTERESTED IN AN EXPLANATION HOW WE GET OUT OF THE NDPAEMIK AND NEW HAMPSHIRE IS OPEN AND WELCOME FOR BUSINESSES, IN PARTICULAR OUR JOURNEY, A TOURISM INDUSTRY. THE REDUCTION FROM 9% TO 8.5% MAKES NO BIG DIFFERENCE TO A PERSON’S RESTAURANT FOOD BILL, BUT IT DOES SEND A POSITIVE MESSAGE THAT WE WANT YOUR BUSINESS AND WE WANT YOU TO COME AND VISIT THE STATE. >> AND THE PSEHA, OUT OF INTEREST IN DIVIDEND TAX, WHAT FELT IT? >> WELCOME, THAT WAS SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO A NUMBER OF LEGISLATION. YOU WILL SEE THAT AN INCOME TAX IS MARKED AND NEW HAMPSHIRE A NO INCOME TAX STATE IS MARKED AND IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT ONLY REDUCED, IT IS FOR RENNERS WHO ARE ON A FIXED INCOME. >> THE NEXT LIST, THE PP LOANS, THE TAX ARE NOT THE TAX AFTERNOO LEGISLATIVE DECIDES NOT TO TAX. >> AND THERE ARE WORKING LOANS FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND WAS GRANTED BY TSEHO. OUR STATE REVENUE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT HAS INDICATED THIS YEAR THAT THEON MEY WOULD RECEIVE THESE LOANS, INCLUDING BUSINESS PROFIT TAXES AND LEGISLATION WHICH WOULD BE CONTROLLED BY THE LAW. >> AND IN SHORT, THE RIGHT TO WORK HAS BEEN IN THE LEGISLARETU FOR A LONG TIME AND EVEN DOESN’T APPLY THIS TIME. >> I WOULD SAY THIS IS NOT ONE OF OUR BIGGEST DISABILITIES. BIAS I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THE RIGHT TO WORK IS A GOOD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR THE STATE AND I HAVE PASSED THE SENATE AND THE HOUSEWARE COMMITTEE, BUT WE HAVE THE VOTES THAT ARE NEEDED TO PROVIDE THE VOTES FOR THE HOUSE. >> AND A LEGALLY SECURE PORT? >> IT IS ANOTHER BIA POLICY INITIATIVE THAT CAN PROTECT COMPANIES WHILE THE PANDEMIC IS THE RIGHT ACTION B COMPLYING WITH STATE AND FEDERAL HEALTH AND SAFETY DIRECTIVES. TODAY WE WANT TO ENSURE THAT YOU HAD SOME KIND OF LEGAL PROTECTION TO RESPOND TO COVID-19. LEGISLATION HAS NOT KILLED THESE BILLS BUT THEY KEEP THEM TO WORK IN AUTUMN AND WINTER SO WE’RE HAVING ANOTHER CRACK IN 2022. >> I WILL BE THEAS L ONE. THE MEDICAL VOLUNTARY VOLUNTARY D HAVE THAT AND NEW IN NEW HAMPSHIRE AND WE HAVE AN LGON TIME TO WORK ON IT. >> IT WILL TAKE A FEW YEARS FOR THIS PROGRAM TO COME TOGETHER, BUT ANY COMPANIES THAT WANT TO OFFER THEIR EMPLOYEES THIS ADVANTAGE CAN BUY INTO THE PROGRAM. IT IS NOT MANDATORY, BUT VOLUNTARY AND WE THINK THAT WE SHOULD GO. >> THANK YOU
