Texas AFT :All on the Line and Texas Civil Rights Challenge present alternatives to interact in redistricting

All On the Line, an organization fighting for a fair redistribution process in Texas, is working with organizations across the state as the legislature prepares to redraw the Texas legislative and congressional district maps.

Although the legislature is currently in a stalemate, All On the Line is using the mapping programs mapsbythepeople.org and representable.org to allow individuals to survey potential redistribution areas. AOTL and the Texas Civil Rights Project are delivering training in English and Spanish to ensure more communities are heard. We want teachers to be involved in this process, and you can find events and upcoming training opportunities online. The census data required for the reallocation is expected to be released on August 16.
