‘Sadistic’ Trump Slammed for Teasing ‘Good Information on Covid Reduction Invoice’ After Letting Thousands and thousands Lose Unemployment
More than five weeks after Election Day, concerns grow as President Donald Trump not only shows no signs of concession, but also spreads increasingly dangerous lies and disinformation – including repeated calls for the election to be overturned. Americans are increasingly concerned, not only about the president’s attacks on democracy, but also about the Republicans’ refusal to defend them.
President Donald Trump and his supporters have filed more than 50 lawsuits and lost all but one. On Tuesday, the US Supreme Court – on which the President had placed three of the six Conservative judges – unanimously crushed the recent attempt to overturn the election, in the amount of a crushing rejection of a sentence.
Trump is reportedly getting more and more excited and spending his days just focusing on the elections.
On Wednesday morning, amid a spate of tweets, Trump announced a demand in one word:
#OVERTURN

Another call followed on Wednesday afternoon to overthrow the lost elections by more than 8 million votes.
If someone cheated in the election, which the Democrats did, why shouldn’t the election be overturned immediately? How can a country be run like this?

A growing question for some is when will a liar and a painful loser rise to the bar of illegal activity?
To be clear, not only is there no evidence of electoral fraud or fraud, but Trump’s own lawyers have been unable or unwilling to offer anything in court.
Suffrage expert and Mother Jones journalist Ari Berman:
It’s 36 days after the election, the safe haven deadline has expired, 302 votes for Biden certified, won by 7 million votes nationwide, Trump lost 51 lawsuits and yet he is demanding that the election results be overturned and 90% of the GOP are either encouraging or silent

Andrea Mitchell quotes MSNBC’s Kelly O’Donnell:
@ KellyO: “Today it is more defiance for President Trump. He wants the results that have been confirmed across the country to be reversed in his favor. The legal affairs the President finds himself in are one defeat at a time, including the Supreme Court. “#AMRstaff

Edward-Isaac Dovere, Atlantic Associate:
Quite clearly, if Donald Trump could have overturned the election results and seized power through legal challenges or other avenues, he would have – and clearly, there aren’t many Republican leaders who would have opposed him as he did.

Chris Megerian, Los Angeles Times White House reporter:
The President continues his campaign against democracy with the tacit (and occasionally enthusiastic) approval of a major political party, https://t.co/abE1XDmpf8

Greg Sargent of the Washington Post:
It’s terrible that Loeffler / Perdue are supporting this troubled Texas lawsuit.
Republicans don’t just “humor” Trump. Many of them support the * overturning * election.
This successful lawsuit would be “the end of democracy as we know it,” @steve_vladeck tells me: https://t.co/Gjp7eiYeYR pic.twitter.com/Kzix270IDl

David Corn, Mother Jones’ DC Office Manager:
Republicans, that’s very wrong, by the way. Trump is not pursuing any legal options here. He is pressuring elected officials to overthrow an election so that he can retain power. It undermines democracy. And you activate this. https://t.co/tWdkPcsjCm

Susan Glasser, Global Affairs Analyst at CNN:
Now that Trump is openly calling for “OVERTURN” the election, I wonder where the Republicans have gone who said he was merely pursuing his legitimate legal options after the election that he lost …
