Patrick Murray Named President of Excessive Level Underwriters| Staff Compensation Information

The High Point Underwriters work and casualty program administrator announced that Patrick Murray will be named president on January 1 to replace Dave King, founder and CEO of the company, who will retire later this year.
Murray’s focus in this new role will be to oversee the continued growth of High Point Underwriters’ current programs and develop new insurance programs for independent contractors, the company said in a statement. It will be based in Woodridge, Illinois.
Murray has over 18 years of experience in the underwriting, marketing, and management of personal accident insurance products. Prior to joining High Point, he was Regional Sales Vice President, Specialty Products for Pan-American Life Insurance Group in Oakbrook, Illinois. He also held drafting positions at Chubb and Zurich in their accident departments.
Murray holds a master’s degree in public administration from Governors State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point.
High Point Underwriters is a program administrator who specializes in occupational injury coverage for independent contractors and employee compensation coverage for automotive companies.
The company is based in Morris Plains, New Jersey and is owned by K2 Insurance Services, based in San Diego.
