NY Submit Reporter Who Penned Faux Article on Kamala Harris’ E-book Says She Was ‘Ordered’ to Write It

In the event anyone needs proof that Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News and the New York Post are conducting dishonest propaganda to stir up right-wing anger, all they need to do is read the tweets of a reporter who has just quit.

Former New York Post reporter Laura Italiano wrote an article last week that set the pro-Trump MAGA world ablaze.

She says she was forced to write the lie:

“Kamala is not on the southern border – but migrant children get Veep’s book,” was the title of Italiano’s article on Vice President Kamala Harris when it was first published last Friday. The Post ran two versions of the play, and Fox News picked up the lie and ran with it.

The article claimed that the Biden administration was adding copies of the book to welcome kits for migrant children crossing the border.

“Unaccompanied migrant children brought from the U.S.-Mexico border to a new shelter in Long Beach, California will receive a copy of their 2019 children’s book, Superheroes Are Everywhere, in their welcome kits,” the article said .

That’s a lie exposed by the Washington Post Tuesday after Fox News, and many Republicans blew it up, despite the fact that it’s obviously false. It turned out that a copy was donated to the shelter by someone after the city turned to local residents for help.

But Fox News guests and hosts today have suggested that the Biden administration use federal funds to purchase the book, even though the story has been known to be false since at least this morning. Or that tax-exempt NGOs spent money to buy the book instead of groceries.
