The accused MAGA rioter Jenna Ryan now admits that former President Donald Trump lied to her about stealing the 2020 election.
In an interview with the Washington Post, Ryan expressed regret for her actions, saying she was deceived into believing something that was simply not true.
“I bought my way into a lie and the lie is the lie and it’s embarrassing,” she said. “I regret everything.”
Ryan, a Texas realtor, quickly caught the attention of law enforcement officers when she posted a video of herself on social media about storming the Capitol on January 6th.
“We’re going to go down and storm the Capitol,” Ryan said in a video just before he stormed the Capitol. “You’re down there right now and that’s why we came and that’s what we’re going to do. So wish me luck “
Like many of her peers, Ryan insisted she stormed the Capitol building believing she was obeying Trump’s orders.
“I listen to my president who told me to go to the Capitol,” she said in an interview shortly after the unrest. “I showed my patriotism when I was there and I just protested and I wasn’t trying to do anything violent.”
