Man Accused of Posing as Agent, Promoting Faux Comp Insurance policies| Staff Compensation Information

A Georgia man was arrested on multiple fraud charges for allegedly posing as an agent and selling bogus workers’ compensation policies, according to a report from Fox’s Atlanta subsidiary.

Fernando Jose Cuellar Membreno, 50, ran several stores in the same building in Buford. Businesses included HSR Insurance, All Nations Inc., All Saints Insurance, Subcontractors of the South, Platoon Builders Corp., Tax Center of Gainesville, and Tax Center Buford.

The Enforcement Department reportedly opened an investigation after receiving complaints in March 2020 that he issued fraudulent insurance certificates.

Membreno is facing seven insurance fraud charges, according to the report, and is currently on bail.
