Joe Manchin Says His ‘Higher Judgment’ Over Biden Was a ‘Bipartisan’ COVID Invoice however President ‘Needs to Present Power’

US Senator Joe ManchinThe most conservative Democrat in the Senate says he knows that President Joe Biden is “trying to bring everyone together,” but he disagreed with the new free world leader, who worked hard and acted quickly to help Americans who were in trouble after a year To provide relief to a pandemic that had stolen 400,000 lives by the day he was sworn in in the Oval Office.

Manchin, ranked number 54 on a list of Senators by GovTrack with 100 most liberal (Lisa Murkowski ranked 55th as more liberal), also had a lot to say about former President Donald Trump.

“I got on well with Donald Trump. We had a good relationship. He called me the whole time. We talked back and forth, ”the West Virginia Democrat told USA Today. But he says he was unaware of Trump’s influence on the GOP.

“I didn’t know there was this kind of fever and pent-up hatred in people that he allowed them to unleash.”

Some people are blocking President Biden’s agenda in the name of “non-partisanship” by refusing to support his critical elements, including HR1, the Voting Rights Act, along with Biden’s ambitious infrastructure bill, the LGBTQ Equality Act, the statehood of DC, kill or at least weaken the filibuster – and use the budget reconciliation process to drive bills forward.

“There is no circumstance under which I will vote to eliminate or weaken the filibuster,” wrote Manchin a month ago. “It is time to end these political games and usher in a new era of bipartisanism in which we find common ground in the important political debates our nation is facing.”

Instead, Manchin wants to be known as a non-partisan man, regardless of whether Biden’s agenda is met or not.

“I talk to everyone. I have dinner with everyone. If I can find a way forward we will find it. You can’t find it if you don’t know people and if you really want to be a friend and work honestly, no gotcha moment. “

For example, some people acknowledge that infrastructure is important and decades overdue. For him, it just means there’s no need to rush.

“Now we are in a situation where we don’t have the urgency (as opposed to COVID-19 relief), this time sensitivity, that we have to do that. We have to make infrastructure. ‘The infrastructure should have been completed 10 or 20 years ago. It’s not like a do-or-die right now. We can fix it, we should fix it, but it should be infrastructure based, ”he told USA Today.

Experts say that every day that goes by increases the real price, with critical infrastructure like roads and bridges suffering even more damage, and costs rising due to inflation. There is also a “soft” infrastructure like broadband that is essential for learning and communication.

With Manchin being the last Democratic representative on much of the Biden agenda and blocking important aspects – the legislation – as well as the path to getting those laws being passed – killing the filibuster – he gets a lot of social media attention.

West Virginia ranks 49th out of 50 states for Internet access. Just say @Sen_JoeManchin.

The Koch Network spends $ 500,000 trying to break our democracy. The senators they are targeting cannot fall for it.

If Manchin, Sinema, Coons, Tester, Cortez Masto, or Hassan are one of your Senators, give them a call and ask them to kill the filibuster! https://t.co/ND1l5nnVib

Your daily reminder that @Sen_JoeManchin represents one person: yourself.

Repeat after me:
Joe Manchin is not a Democrat.
Joe Manchin is not a Democrat.
Joe Manchin is not a Democrat.
Joe Manchin is not a Democrat.
Joe Manchin is not a Democrat.
Joe Manchin is not a Democrat.
Joe Manchin is not a Democrat.
Joe Manchin is not a Democrat.

Senator Joe Manchin stops the Dems by “working across the island” then it should be up to HIM to get the 10 GOP votes. Drop everything on his desk and blame him daily. There’s no point in kissing his ass anymore.

Some people seem proud that Trump called me all along.

This is not a GD badge of honor. It’s a disqualifying admission and statement considering Manchin refuses to break the filibuster so @SenateDems can pass laws.

It’s a guilty pledge. https://t.co/6cKOwQBl59

Wrapped in red in blue Joe Manchin says he wants to get Congress back on track.

As far as I know, he enjoys power and corruption as he helps the GQP use Congress to destroy progress.

OK what does he want?
How many federal offices will have to move from DC to West Virginia to close this deal?

Some people oppose DC’s statehood bill and likely condemn its Senate prospects https://t.co/xjLb74w7A8 via @CBSPolitics

Can someone tell me why Manchin is in the Democratic Party? Real conversation. Why? #WokeAF

– Danielle Moodie (@DeeTwoCents) May 2, 2021

Let me get that straight.

For about 8 years give or take ONE MAN – McConnell single-handedly prevented all progress and sustaining America.

And now ONE MAN – Manchin – single-handedly prevents the progress and maintenance of America.

WHAT THE HELL
