Home Republicans Give Marjorie Taylor Greene a Standing Ovation in Closed Door Caucus Assembly: Report
Members of the Republican House gave caucus MP Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) Standing ovations on Wednesday night after the QAnon Congresswoman gave a short speech to defend herself. About an hour earlier, minority leader Kevin McCarthy announced his support for Greene and refused to take her away from her committee duties.
NBC News and MSNBC political scientist Jake Sherman, co-founder of Punchbowl News, tweeted, “About 30 other House Republican Conference members are waiting to speak tonight about @Liz_Cheney and their future.” Cheney faces the loss of her leadership position in the GOP House caucus for voting against President Donald Trump.
Sherman later added:
Just for context, @mtgreenee received a standing ovation from some Republicans after a brief speech in the session.

A source also confirms this to me. Standing O from roughly half the GOP of the house for a woman who traded on anti-Semitic and racist conspiracy theories and questioned whether 9/11 and mass shootings were real events. https://t.co/a5p1rGJUv7
