Greene Apologized for Evaluating Masks to Holocaust – Days Earlier than Censure Decision, However Not Sorry for Likening Dems to Nazis

US Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) A small press conference was held on Monday evening to apologize for repeatedly comparing face masks to protect against the coronavirus with the Holocaust but refusing to compare Democrats and the Democratic Party with Nazis and to apologize to Hitler’s NSDAP.

Greene’s remarks came after a tour of the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC, reportedly after a week of negotiations. But they also came just days before a resolution was passed to reprimand them for their Holocaust comparisons, reports the Washington Post.

The QAnon-supporting congresswoman “refused to retract other controversial statements she made, including one comparing the Democratic Party with Hitler’s party, the National Socialist German Workers’ Party.”

“One of the best lessons my father always taught me was that you should make a mistake,” Greene, who appeared to be speaking out of nowhere, told reporters on Monday.

Her comments suggest that she does not view her comments on equating democrats with Nazis as a mistake.

Last month, The Post noted, “Greene also compared the Democratic Party to the NSDAP, which bore the full name National Socialist German Workers Party or National Socialist German Workers Party.”

Despite the name, the NSDAP was not a socialist party; it was a right-wing, ultra-nationalist party. Even so, Greene said to those attending the May rally, “You know, Nazis were the National Socialist Party. Just like the Democrats are now a National Socialist party. “

When asked if she would also apologize and refute her attack on the Democrats, Greene declined, revealing her biased ignorance.

“You know, socialism is extremely dangerous, just like communism,” she told reporters. “And every time a government moves into a policy where there is more control and freedoms are taken away, it is a danger for everyone. And I think that’s something we should all be careful of. … I will never stop saying that we have to save America and stop socialism. “

The post Greene apologized for comparing masks to the Holocaust – days before the censorship was broken, but I’m not sorry to compare Dems to Nazis, first appeared in The New Civil Rights Movement.
