GOP Chief McCarthy Blasted, Mocked for Being ‘Unprepared’ to Deal with QAnon Congresswoman
House minority Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is targeted by QAnon for his ineffectiveness with the conspiracy theorist MP Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA), who has committed criminal offenses, openly and repeatedly supported the execution of the President of the House.
Congressman Greene’s list of violations, downfalls, and some misdemeanors is long, and came to the fore early last week, followed by more this week. Many expected and urged McCarthy, who was once the Republicans’ first choice, to replace John Boehner as spokesman to quickly punish Greene, but instead put her on several committees.
The Democrats have been pushing for Greene to be expelled, but apart from demanding that she be stripped of all of her committee duties.
Last week, McCarthy announced that he “planned” to speak to her this week, and he did it Tuesday night. He made no decisions and forced the Democrats to promise a vote on Thursday to remove Greene from their committee duties if McCarthy does not act first.
D) Democrats stand ready to remove Greene from their committee in a vote that could take place as early as Thursday – unless McCarthy moves first. The whole House has not voted to remove a member from a committee in years.

After McCarthy’s promise to “speak” to Greene, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez beat him up and said, “Kevin McCarthy is answering these QAnon members of Congress, not the other way around.”
“When I hear that Rep. McCarthy is pulling a member aside,” said AOC, “I think what will he tell you?” ‘Keep it up’? Because there are no consequences for violence in the Republican caucus, there are no consequences for racism, no consequences for misogyny, no consequences for insurrection, and no consequence means they will tolerate it. “
Experts and many on social media beat up McCarthy for putting politics above morality, bowing to the growing QAnon cult, and refusing to crack down on Greene without curbing attacks on Congressman Liz Cheney (R-WY), the many Republicans in the House are calling for their leadership role to be removed.

CNN’s Jaime Gangel said Wednesday morning, “I think what we’re going to see this afternoon is a real reckoning for Kevin McCarthy.”
Here’s what some say:
The idea of removing the trade from a committee to avoid Marjorie Taylor Greene’s two orders being withdrawn underscores how unprepared Kevin McCarthy is to stand up for the moment.
It’s like negotiating an expense account and not signaling what is unacceptable in politics.

Imagine if you were so astute and ineffective that you couldn’t even control conspiracy theorists like Marjorie Taylor Greene in your own party. @ GOPLeader, I’m looking at you.

Does this mean that if you claim school shootings are fake and harass victims of school shootings, you * may * not get into education and work, but you will still be on the Committee on Budgets?
What’s really beyond the pale now? Way to act decisively, my Kevin.

It sounds like @GOPLeader is removing Marge from all of their committees.
Ultimately, she doesn’t pay the price for her actions – it’s the people of GA-14 who won’t have a member of Congress with fundamentally any power for at least the next 2 years.

A real leader would have already removed Greene from her committees. @ GOPLeader

He’s afraid of their mob. Hell, most of the party seems to be submitting to this whole wing for fear of angering them rather than actually having the courage to come up with real guidelines and a platform to reach out to voters who don’t threaten them. Therefore the party is losing members.

She is the new party line and they are ubiquitous: Marj, Boebert, Cruz, Hawley, Rubio, Blackburn, Jordan, Issa, Gaetz, Paul and others ad nauseum.

When you ponder the concept of house managers McCarthy and Hoyer Marjorie Taylor Green “compromising” her by taking her off training but allowing her to stay on budget, the following comes to mind:
