Gaetz’s Communications Director Quits ‘Out of Precept’

US Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is facing big problems and now he has another problem. Luke Ball, Gaetz’s communications director, has resigned, according to several reports.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Ball started working as a planner and press assistant at Gaetz in 2018, became its press spokesman and in November 2019 its communications director.

Gaetz, who is being investigated over a possible sexual relationship with a 17-year-old and child trafficking, seems to suggest that there were some disagreements that led to his resignation and that it was a mutual decision:

Ball was also Gaetz’s deputy campaign manager, working for Ron DeSantis’s campaign.

He began his career in politics as a congressional intern.

Ball hasn’t been particularly active on Twitter, but he retweeted an anti-LGBTQ hate group and posted this a month ago:
