Florida Blasted for ‘Extremely Miserable and Silly’ New Coverage of Mendacity to Youngsters
Florida’s government is accepting a new policy that reveals the ignorance of those in charge of the Sunshine State.
“Florida is the last state to ban critical racial theory, continuing the growing indictment of Republican lawmakers against schools teaching systemic racism,” CNN reported. “After hours of debate and public comment, the Florida State Board of Education unanimously approved the amendment banning critical racial theory on Thursday. Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis, who appointed much of the board of directors, spoke ahead of the meeting and said that critical racial theory would teach children that ‘the country is rotten and our institutions illegitimate.’ “
Keith Schnakenberg, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Washington University in St. Louis, published an important part of the new rule.
The rule states that teachers “must not define American history as anything other than the creation of a new nation based largely on universal principles set out in the Declaration of Independence”.
The well-known historian Kevin Kruse has blown the language.
“Teachers ‘cannot define American history as anything other than the creation of a new nation based largely on universal principles set forth in the Declaration of Independence,’ are nine kinds of nonsense starting with the fact that the Declaration, uh , nothing created a new nation, ”recalled Kruse.
The declaration of independence was signed on July 4, 1776. America was not created until the constitution was ratified by nine of the original thirteen states on June 21, 1788.
“Let’s ignore this howl from those lawmakers who * really * know their facts. We are forbidden to define American history as anything other than the * creation * of the new nation? ”Asked Kruse. “You are not allowed to teach anything other than the foundation? There is a lot more, you know! “
“But let’s go back a second,” he continued. “You are not allowed to suppress or distort the atrocities of the Holocaust, but if there is anything like it in American history – HYPOTHETIC, OF COURSE – do you have to suppress and distort that? For reasons? “
“It’s all so incredibly depressing and stupid, especially because the people trying to dictate and control the teaching of American history never seem to have taken a single damn class in that subject,” he observed.
Let’s ignore this howl from those lawmakers who * really * know their facts.
Are we forbidden to define American history as anything other than the * creation * of the new nation?
You are not allowed to teach anything other than the start-up? There’s a lot more, you know!

Iowa’s bill. Much similar to Idaho, except that doctrine also prohibits the US or the state of Iowa from being systemically racist pic.twitter.com/QGE1Vn4rzm
