A former group home assistant who was released after caring for a son with psychiatric disorders has claims that New Beginnings for Life violated the Family and Medical Leave Act, a Connecticut federal court said.
However, Amanda Gonzalez’s claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act failed because she failed to adequately claim NBFL fired her for being linked to a disabled person, the Connecticut District Court said Wednesday.
