Dominion Plans to Sue Professional-Trump Conspiracy Theorist Sidney Powell ‘Imminently’ for Defamation – Probably Trump Too
Dominion Voting Systems CEO says the voting machine maker plans to sue pro-Trump conspiracy theorist and attorney Sidney Powell “directly” for defamation, and possibly also to sue President Donald Trump. John Poulos, who is also the founder of the Canadian-American company, told the Axios Re: Cap podcast about his plans on Monday.
“Our focus is currently on Sidney Powell,” Poulos told Axios. “She is, in our opinion, by far the most prolific and outrageous provider of false information about Dominion. What you said did real harm. “
Trump had said Powell was part of his legal team, but after blaming Dominion with wild allegations of working with Hugo Chavez to rig the election, Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis, who work for Trump, announced that Powell said so not be. Chavez, the former president of Venezuela, died in 2013.
Here is part of Powell’s outlandish and unsubstantiated claims:
Business Insider notes that “Dominion has sent document retention documents to a number of right-wing media organizations and figures to promote elements of the theories and warned of lawsuits against them.”
