‘Disingenuous Dumpster Fireplace’ Grassley Blasted for Saying Biden Ought to ‘Have Management’ Over Home and Senate Dems

US Senator Chuck Grassley comes under fire after allegations that senators should take orders from their political party leaders. The Iowa Republican has been in Congress since 1975 and was the third successor to the presidency in his role as president pro tempore of the Senate until Thursday.

Senator Grassley, in his usual unique way of tweeting, claimed that President Joe Biden should have “control” over the Democrats in the House and Senate. The U.S. Constitution makes it clear that there are three separate branches of government, and nowhere does this suggest that the legislature is owed to the president or any other party leader.

“Pres Biden preaches unity and healing, while Dem leadership focuses on the impeachment of a former president. Isn’t Pres Biden in control of the Congress Democrats as the party leader? This move will surely slow down the Biden Cabinet’s affirmation / agenda + increase the divide, ”Grassley tweeted.

The Iowa Republican has been beaten up by many on social media for placing partisan politics above the control and balance of the U.S. Constitution and its three equal branches of government.
