DC Waitress Blasts ‘Exhausting, Stingy and Merciless’ Trump Officers She Needed to Serve
A waitress who works in Washington DC wrote a harrowing report about how miserable it was to serve White House officials who worked for former President Donald Trump.
In a long piece written for Slate, Moe Tkacik reveals that Trump aide Stephen Miller made her utterly miserable when they first met at their restaurant by grilling them after detailed details about the origin of the caviar he ordered .
She then explains that Miller wasn’t the only Trump official who did her job the hell, as she quickly learned to differentiate between Trump officials and standard Republican customers who were regulars prior to the 2016 election.
“The Republicans who followed 45 into town were exhausting, impossible, often stingy, and – because the restaurant was never busy enough to ease the sting of a bad table with an entire section – unforgettable,” she writes.
Trump Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, for example, always ordered the cheapest wine by the glass and “tipped no more than 14 percent no matter how many times you topped it up without a top-up.”
Steve Mnuchin’s wife, meanwhile, had “so many dietary restrictions that the entire meal was awkward,” and she never returned to the restaurant.
“But now that they are gone, good God, it has to be said, they really were the scum of the earth, and although some of them I am sure are good people, I will be very happy with only $ 1,400.” See if I never have to see one of them in my area again, ”she concludes.
