Civil rights lawyer Ben Crump calls for launch of video, firing of officer in deadly taking pictures of Joshua Feast
THE BRAND, Texas – Civil rights attorney Ben Crump called for the dismissal of a La Marque police officer who was involved in two deadly shootings.
Jose Santos Office has been identified as the officer who shot Joshua Feast during an encounter on December 9th. Investigators said Feast got out of a vehicle and ran across the street into a driveway when Santos opened fire.

Authorities said they are investigating the shooting and all La Marque police are wearing body cameras.
Crump said he would like the video and any other video collected as part of the investigation to be released so people can see Feast was shot in the back while running away from Santos.
“We deserve the truth,” said Crump. “We don’t deserve a cover-up.”
Crump also accused Santos of being involved in a police brutality case in 2013 when he was employed by another police agency. Santos should never have become an officer in 2020. A Galveston Police Department spokesman said a person named Jose Santos had worked for the Police Department and resigned, but was unable to confirm that that person was the same person involved in the fatal Feast shooting.
The death of Feast was the second fatal shootout Santos was involved in. He shot a man in a burglary in 2017. A grand jury declined to indict Santos in this case.
