BOE approves personnel suggestions – The Atmore Advance
The Board of Education at Escambia County Schools passed a resolution at its December 17th meeting granting all full-time and active employees a payment of $ 500.
Employees who work with effect from December 1, 2020, with the exception of the superintendent, will receive the sum of the bonus.
In other matters the board has:
• Authorized to provide a letter to the State School Architect for the Flomaton Elementary Building Extension to renovate the FES and FHS Cafeteria to request the PSCA number for this project;
• Approved Lathan and Associates Architecture to provide services to help develop a package of offerings to complete an expansion of FES and renovate the cafeteria for FES and FHS;
• Approved Hurricane Sally (flood) emergency repairs for WS Neal High School to Triptek Construction for $ 668,900;
• Approved to proceed with a rating engagement to S&P Global Ratings to begin the analytical rating process for $ 22,750;
• Approved the approval to execute a warrant purchase agreement in connection with the issue of warrants with tax expectation;
• Approved the appointment of board attorney Broox Garrett from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 with a retention fee of $ 1,000;

• Brandon Stophel, Custodian at Escambia County High School, is on leave under the Family Medical Leave Act for 60 days from August 19, 2020 to November 20, 2020;
