Anti-Defamation League Chief Says Tucker Carlson ‘Should Go’ After Endorsing Neo-Nazi Conspiracy Principle
Mick Mulvaney, the acting White House chief of staff, claimed on Fox News on Sunday that President Trump was not a white supremacist.
Host Chris Wallace noted that some critics claim the president “contributed to an anti-Muslim climate,” including a 2020 statement from Senator and hopeful Kirsten Gillibrand saying, “Time and again this president has white accepted and encouraged supremacists – and instead of condemning racist terrorists, he covers them. “
Time and again, this president has hugged and encouraged white supremacists – and instead of condemning racist terrorists, he covers them. This is not normal or acceptable. We have to be better. https://t.co/pniU3l0wte

Wallace also pointed to similarities between the New Zealand Gunner’s statement about “killing invaders” and the next day’s President’s statements classifying immigrants crossing our southern border as “invading”.
“There are people who just don’t like the president and whatever goes wrong they’ll try to link that to the president,” Mulvaney said. “It is just absurd to say that there is a link between illegal immigration and legal immigration.”
Wallace asked Mulvaney if the president would consider speaking directly on the subject: “To the extent that there is a problem with white supremacists, white nationalists and anti-Muslim bigotry in this country – and there is a problem with it – why not a speech condemning it? “
“The president is not a white supremacist,” replied Mulvaney. “I’m not sure how often we have to say this.”
However, the incumbent chief of staff did not answer the question.
Mulvaney also pushed back on comments that the New Zealand shooter was a supporter of President Trump.
While Wallace shared the Gunman’s testimony that he saw Trump have a “symbol of a renewed white identity and common purpose,” Mulvaney was unhappy that Wallace did not include the rest of the Gunman’s comment in which he included Trump’s guidelines and skills as a leader disagreed.
“I don’t think it’s fair to cast this person in support of Donald Trump,” Mulvaney said.
