DOJ Fees 19 12 months Outdated in Tried Plot to Kidnap, Homicide and Eat Homosexual Males: Reviews
The local police initially refused to bring hate crime charges
The US Department of Justice has indicted 19-year-old Chance Seneca of Louisiana in an “overarching plot” to kidnap, murder and eat gay men, “dismember” them and save parts of their bodies as trophies, the AP and the Daily animal report. Seneca said he used the gay dating app Grindr as a “hunting ground”.
Seneca, the DOJ’s indictment, “attempted to kidnap a man and successfully kidnapped two other men last year using Grindr, a dating application for gay and bisexual men. The indictment also alleges that the defendant attempted to murder one of these men because of his gender and sexual orientation, and that the defendant intended to dismember and store parts of the victim’s body as trophies, memorabilia and food. “
Buzzfeed published the criminal complaint, which contains gruesome details. It is alleged that Seneca cut the wrists of his 18-year-old victim “to the bones” and tried to save the hands as trophies, but was unable to complete the deed. He said repeatedly to his victim: “Let go … I will set you free.”
Last year, Towleroad reported, “Seneca’s Facebook profile has a picture of Jeffrey Dahmer, the serial killer who murdered 17 men and boys in 1978-91.”
Despite all the evidence, including the use of Grindr, the Dahmer profile photo, and Seneca’s alleged admission that he “freed” the victim by attempting to kill him, the Lafayette police initially refused to prosecute Seneca for hate crimes collecting wasn’t enough evidence, ”notes Buzzfeed. “The authorities then reversed course in January.”
Seneca, the DOJ adds, “tried to cover up his actions by removing communications between him and the victim of the attempted murder.”
He also “owned a firearm to promote hate crime and tried to cover up his actions by cutting off communications between himself and the victim of the attempted murder.”
He is charged with six crimes, including charges of hate crimes, kidnapping, firearms and disability.
