Secretary of Protection Lloyd Austin Feels ‘Revulsion’ at Tucker Carlson’s Assault on Girls within the Army

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin explains how he feels about Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s attack on women, especially pregnant women serving in the U.S. armed forces.

“The secretary certainly shares the dislike of so many others for what Mr. Carlson said,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters on Thursday, as CNN reported.

He said the US military may have “still a lot to do” to become “more inclusive and respectful of everyone – especially women,” and suggested that Carlson’s remarks may be due to personal shortcomings.

“We commit to do better and we will,” said Kirby. “We are absolutely not going to get any staff advice from a talk show host or the Chinese military. Maybe these people feel like they are proving something. It’s up to them. “

In statements that went viral on Thursday morning, Carlson Tuesday attacked women serving in the armed forces, suggesting making the entire military “more feminine” as if it were bad or somehow less effective or deadly.

After praising the Chinese military and a Chinese official who warned that China’s young men are becoming too feminine, Carlson said, “So we have new hairstyles and maternity suits. Pregnant women will wage our wars. It’s a mockery of the US military. While China’s military becomes more masculine when it gathers together the largest navy in the world, as Joe Biden says, our military must become more feminine, whatever feminine means, since men and women no longer exist. The bottom line is it’s out of control and the Pentagon is doing it. “

Secretary Austin was far from being the only member of the military who went on the offensive with Carlson’s remarks. Many members of the military, including top officers, used social media to protest the attack and to praise women in the military.
